How can you NOT bring religion into this...
It's almost ALL about religion...
Isn't marriage fully based on/Doesn't the concept of marriage come from religion anyway?
Correct me if I'm wrong~

Like I said, it's more of a social/political thing because most of the conflict about it has to do with whether or not it's allowed by law, not a church. There are also plenty of atheists with interest in getting married anyway.

if i have to say in my opinion that is causing the gay marriage struggle is the religion of north america which is mostly christian so they will mostly be biased 2nd is that everyone that is in north america is judging with their religion and they are also biased and the next thing on my opinion is that humanity definitely hate when somebody is different from them

But there are other countries in North America that aren't the United States. Canada and Mexico both allow gay marriage.

sadly the united state is pretty much based on the christian religion like some of the things in a show will be taken out if they had any bad thing with some of the christian words so now the united states will most likely based it opinion with it religion

The United States is not based on the Christian religion. There may be some politicians who mistakenly believe that, but America is not Christian. America was made to be a country of religious freedom, and though our constitution and other early documents may express Christian ideals, they also express the ideals of many other religions, and a lot of our laws aren't even based in religion in the first place. America's system of government is actually most similar to those used by the Greeks. Christians traditionally had theocracies at the time and before then.

America thrives on debate and controversy. Our political system was built upon and thrives on them. If people didn't disagree on fundamental issues like this, no bills would ever get made into law.
