Just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it doesn't work period >.<
You can also try removing the English patch and the things associated with it (readme.txt and base.pak), and once the launcher sees that the file size is the same you should be able to log in again.
I was having the Debug issue earlier, and after the new lang0.pak mine works just fine. Dunno what to tell you other than something might be wrong with the launcher >.<;
Iknow it is not only me doesn't work on but still maybe many has the same problem like me ...

Start the DBO.exe not the DBO launcher... plus... move the old lang0 file somewhere ( dont delete just in case you need it later ) Download the one he posted @ the thread...place it inside the localize/ TW / pack folder.... Then start the DBO.exe it works like a charm. This guide confuses people.
