Im into mostly pop punk music, for alot of the reasons that you mentioned. Most of them dont give a **** what they look like, they sing about real ****, and its catchy and melodic. Mostly bands like, Four Year Strong, A Day To Remember, The Wonder Years, Senses Fail(old stuff), Title Fight,Comeback kid, and Set Your Goals. My favorite hands down has to be The Wonder Years, especially since theyre from my hometown.

Good list. A Day to Remember is in a Gray zone for me. They have pretty decent instrumentals, but definately rely on "IM GONNA SCREAM NOW! Noooooow Im gonna siiiiiiing all high pitched and maaaaake girls weeeeeet cuz I waaaaaaaas juuuuuuuust screeeeeaaaaaming but now Im being seeeeensitive so finger yourseeeeeelves... NOW IM GONNA SCREAM AGAIN!" but like I said, good instrumentals, I love their drummer. But yeah grey zone for the generic whiney voice. Ive always wanted an album of all their music without any singing, like a karaoke version :].

hahah i get what youre saying, im not going to be able to listen to their songs without thinking of this quote now lolol
I listen to all kinds, but I kinda went back in time a bit and have been listening to a lot of LostProphets, especially their first albumn "TheFakeSoundofProgress". I just love the song "Shinobi vs. Dragon Ninja". It really takes me back to 2003ish when I was going through a lot of change in my life.
Dam i forgot about these guys! i used to replay that song "last train home" so much when i was younger
