Has anyone else been having problems connecting to Google, Youtube or any server owned by Google lately? Just checking.

It's been going on for a week now and I'm beginning to wonder if my ISP is SO threatened by Google Fiber that they're messing with my ability to connect to Google owned servers.

Uhm, it's not a Virus. Jak knows enough about computers to know if he had a virus. I can't imagine it being Google Fiber because Google Fiber is just like the best thing ever created. I've been able to connect to Google fine and if Google's servers were having trouble it would affect a lot more than just Google and Youtube. A lot of sites on the internet actually rent Google's servers. Try pinging Google and see how long it takes. Also check the speed that data is being received and sent.

Well i also know a bit about computer but like i said it's probably malware or some sort of virus.

If you can't connect to Google/Gmail/Youtube, but you can connect to yahoo. It's a good sign that what it is.

In any case youtube/gmail is working fine for me

^ No make your own thread.

Also since your leet in computer you probably know this but i'll say it always.

Try clearing your cache also some programs in the background may be causing this like "PeerGuardian" or something along those lines. Still i suggest a virus scan/malware scan/spyware scan.

just to be safe.

Like sword said, I know enough about computers to know if I had a virus. In fact, I know enough about just plain common sense that I haven't had any viruses in 5 years (aside from viruses that I knew I was downloading and was fully prepared and successful at handling. I was doing NX offers for Vindictus. My Kai needed a scar on his face but that was awhile ago and I'm not even on the same OS installation).

You misunderstand. I don't think issues are being caused by Google Fiber. I agree Google Fiber is epic. I'm wondering if it's being caused by my ISP (Time Warner) who feels threatened by Google Fiber.

Well the best way to handle this is to contact your ISP and see what's up.

Well maybe you should run a Virus Scan or something...I recommend downloading and buying Norton 360 .-.
