So I haven't played DBO since I updated to Windows 8 a couple of weeks ago, but when I saw that some folks had figured out how to translate the whole game I decided to try it out and see if it had translated some quests that were bugging me. But when I tried to open the launcher, nothing happened. It showed up in Task Manager as being open, but it wasn't actually running properly since it wasn't using any memory. So then I uninstalled the whole thing, reinstalled, and tried again. This time the launcher opened, patched the game, and the Start button went orange. But when I click on Start, nothing happens again, no memory is being used. I've tried running DBO.exe directly, no dice. I've tried running as admin, in compatibility mode for Windows XP, no dice. I've uninstalled again and I'm gonna try it again, but I don't think it'll work. So, any advice?
First things first try removing the GameGuard Folder Run Dbo and That should Re Install the Gameguard folder. If Dbo still doesn't work try Deleting the game and installing it again directly from the website torrent (Or however you Installed it)
Well it's working now, I realised patching the game before playing it was probably a bad idea...
