Since we got the the thank user option can we also get an dislike option to?

Idk about decreasing power level. But a dislike button seems like a great idea

I feel too many users will abuse the privilege and just use it on members they don't like. While you could do that with the thanks button we have right now, I feel like this would be pushing it a bit.

Maybe a mod has to authorise a dislike and you get a tally chart if they agree with it , but then it's giving more work to the mods and is this same as report post

unless the dislikes are regulated i think it would be ok, but the point system is kind of in place to kind of deter the bad comments on the forum anyway, it would be an annoyance having to wade through all the dislikes just because someone took something as sarcasm etc. its a nice idea in theory but an annoyance to carry out as also Kiyza said some people would just hate on someone and try to dislike most of their comments because they replied badly on their post for example or begged for thank users.

that would be funny to see though, all those annoying people who beg for thank users actually get disliked and lowered power levels haha

No I think it would cause a negative vibe on the forums instead of a positive one which is what we are trying to aim for.

Yeah, like Tempest and Kiyza said, it wouldn't be a good idea. If you just hate someone or want to flame them, just hit dislike. I could see people's power levels being in the negative which would cause a bad environment.


Yeah, cause any mod wants to authorize thousands of dislike requests because someone dislikes another user.

The point of the thank system is to spread some love. A dislike system would just breed hate.
