Ok. I wanna know who this big group of game crashers, keyloggers, and C++/Java Gameguard rapers are, where they come from, and how many of them are there.

As I look around, and see how people react to the good old Say BB exploit, or a nice account hacking, I am starting to feel like I am surrounded by a big group, that controls the entire game. It seems now that entire guilds can be wiped out, destroyed from the inside, and replaced with new guilds filled with people who all know each other, and who all know how to do one or more of the three things stated in my opening paragraph. Almost feels like it is reaching a point where this big group, of faceless digital maniacs, can actually decide who can play DBO, or who they choose to let play DBO.

I didn't know DBO had become a gathering place for 24 year old virgin C++/Java Computer Programming majors/students and script kiddies. I really wish someone would've warned me sooner. Come to find them even becoming more relaxed about their occupations, admitting their entire guild knows about certain things such as the nice little crash bug that continues to persist, or claiming out loud, quote [anonymous: "My friend is amazing hacker. He knows C++. So give us your dogi now, or we will find you"] (xD lmao I've gotten to the point where I don't/can't really care THAT much)

If Rosie Palm, a bag of cheetos, and your computer filled with open windows of JGrasp/Text editors, DBO, and a hollering person you may be trolling at the time makes your life perfect, then good for you. But don't take it out on other people.
It's your daddy's fault, and I am sorry if he touched you in "bad places" xDD

you should never be intimidated by people like that

If you dont share your char, dont give out ur ID , and dont download suspicious things, theres absolutely nothing they can do.

If they threaten to crash you, and do it alot, just do the same thing i do.
Give them the middle finger, and kill them all.

Skedar is right (was gonna call you popo) apart from the killing bit not everyone is as powerful as him but you could block them and change channels

^ This.

I don't understand the point of this thread. These type of people exist in any type of MMO community.
As long as you play smart, then you will not be keylogged/hacked or any of that bull crap. I've played this game for 1 year and 5 months now and I have never lost an account. Many times on these forums have I seen people complain about losing accounts, being hacked etc but in all honesty at the end of the day - it was their fault.

So far out of my days of playing DBO I have only ever seen 1 true person who could "hack" on server 1. The one negative criticism of DBO Taiwan would be that G.Ms do not exist anymore so I can understand your concern, but as easy4me2own said you shouldn't feel intimidated or anything from this.

I don't know where this imaginary "anonymous group of hackers" you speak of come from, because they don't exist.

I was really curious whom you were referring to in all of this, considering I have never came across anyone such as you describe in my time with DBO. Then I checked your character list, and saw your on "1.[孫悟飯(爺爺)伺服器]," and I have to say, its sad to hear such things go on. I suppose you could either give server 2 a whirl or if your really that fed up with the matter, maybe just take a break from the game, and in time, hopefully that group will migrate somewhere else.

Like Skedar said they can't really hack you or do you any harm but crash u or make you mad by abusing bugs in-game.
Just avoid this "Big Group" and go on play aside with your friends and have fun.

I'm not sure why you call them "Wannabe Anonymous." Hackers have existed as long as computers have existed. Hackers in video games has always been a thing. Anonymous has no impact on the reasons for hackers being.

That said, this is why you should never make enemies with people over the internet. Mostly, unless you slip up and do something you'll regret either way, they cannot hurt you. They can't jump out of the monitor and hurt you. There's no reason to be intimidated. Don't download anything that's not from an official source, learn about specific file types and what they can contain, never give out personal information, and the like, and you'll never have to worry about anything. The only exception being is if or when the game hoster's database is cracked into and the information is stolen and decrypted. It does happen, but only in extremely rare circumstances. I wouldn't worry about that at all. Just keep your passwords updated, keep your passwords strong (always go for the maximum character limit, using lower case letters, capital letters, numbers, and special characters, if they're allowed; I also recommend using KeePass so you don't have to type anything in, which disallows people to Keylog you if you do happen to download a malicious file), keep them unguessable, and the like.

As long as you stay smart about browsing the internet, playing games, socializing with people, and such, you shouldn't ever have to worry about anything.

Ok. Just wanted to hear opinions. I can keep doing what I've been doing, just block the crash buggers and avoid them. But when they say they did this and that to my account and "I'm the one who hacked you" blah blah blah and then say they've been following me it kinda scary. Especially when they can DC you with a phrase xD, but whatever. I also use the on screen key board now when I log in and all that.

And yes, I guess it was my fault that I got hacked, for not having anti-malware installed on my computer. I've come to terms with that. Also found where some of the Malware I was getting was coming from, a site I watched dbz episodes on all the time. (But the site downloads malware into your computer automatically, its not like I downloaded anything or intentionally put that crap on my computer, give me a break xD)

Please keep the comments guys :).

And Tempest, this is just a discussion. I'm not looking for solutions or anything like that. So I hope you will move this thread somewhere if you feel it doesn't belong here rather than closing it. I just want to chat with other players and see what they think :). Most discussions on here I've seen don't have a point either, it's just to chat.

Keep elaborating guys :D

I never give my acc info out. Never.

and trusting someone has nothing to do with the people that walk up to you, type "say bb", and disconnect and crash your game.

anyways keep commenting everyone :)
