I don't think it's better AT ALL. It looks like a Windows 7 Phone OS slap-on. Microsoft really did screw up with Windows 8. If you've ever seen the Windows 7 Phone's User Interface design, you'll know what I mean. I'm pretty sure Microsoft just made this to combat Apple and their Ipad.

Actually, windows 7 is probably going to be better than windows 8. Microsoft has a habit of releasing a crappy OS and a really good OS. Windows 8 is that crappy OS. Not only does it still have all it's bugs but it's not even as good as windows 7. If i were you, i would wait until they "fix" windows 8 (which they sometimes do with there crappy OS and make them good) or wait until they come out with a whole new OS together.

The Trend only started after XP.

So it's just vista that was horrible, i tried this last year, it's honestly not that bad, more useful for business, terrible for gaming, great for anything other then gaming.

I had windows vista it runs great. It's just that many people don't know how to make a OS run properly.
I disabled all the gadgets & other useless stuff in vista downloaded SP1 or 2 idk but it ran just like my win7 now does. I switched because its easier for me to work with win7.

Windows 8 is still in beta and they only added more useless stuff in my opinion. I don't need that menu and stuff it just takes memory =(
They should concentrate on making a simple & user friendly OS that runs fast & is stable.

i have xp, but i have a windows 7 disc, im not going to use it untill i get my new pc. this pc im using now is darn awful 2gb of ram etc (probably wont be able to run win7 lol) i got told of vista and am skipping it, never got it because of all the bad stuff i heard. its such a large file and takes up so much space and is apparently slow. once i have windows 7 i think ill probably keep it like i have xp, till a windows 9 comes out hahaha. or convert to a linux OS, but that wont be for a good few years :)

I heard about all the stuff they are doing for windows 8, no start bar etc, huge revamp. i dont think ill be ready for crazyness yet
