My game wasnt letting me log in and it kept giving me the same message which essentially was a bunch of squares which i could not read. i decided i would try starting the launcher in administrator and let it do its thing. when i opened the game up it let me log in finally but the english patch was no longer working. i tried the suggestion that the thread about the patch says and i reset the game patch and tried re doing the english patch but the same problem occured. what am i doing wrong?

Yes, earlier when I logged in, there were squares and that never happened before. I restarted and it worked nicely. But names of certain areas are no longer translated..

i think the login error may have been a server error but i still dont see why the english patch stopped working. every text box has 4 squares in it and it was my first login today so i dont really know the menus yet..

Did the game work before you applied the english patch?

the game worked. it started up and everything was in english but whenever i put in my username and password an error came up which was chinese i assume because it came up with all squares. i restarted with administrator and ran it and i could login but now all i get is squares. so yes the english patch worked although i could not log in



Does it matter when i apply the English patch? meaning should i do it with the launcher open while it is doing its patching or should i do it before i open the launcher or does it even matter?

Hey guys problem solved... I originally put the patch in the correct place but after I reset the game I put it in the wrong place and ran it from there. Everything works now!
