I don't know why people still think they can sell green books for 1 billion when we have brown resets coming out every day now.... Most people that need reset dont need and full green book maybe just a few skills for someone to need a full reset means that they screwed up their build badily. the brown reset should have caused the demand for green books to go down thus dropping the price considerably but people still wanna sell green book for 1 billion. I dont believe it should cost that much anymore......

Nothing should've dropped, the dbo economy doesn't follow common knowledge.
And there still are people that buy the books for 1bill otherwise they would've dropped, and since you made this thread you probs also need one.
Time will learn, will the price go up... or will it go down?

Same with the halos, they were like 100 - 300k and now they're in the AH for about 200Mill +
Nothing should've made them skyrocket, although they did..

I started using the AH 3 days ago and yesterday got an item from a chest (8+ upgrade for 30 days) that I managed to sell for 500m. Probably was worth more, no idea. Thing is I thought I was rich, in reality I was set for the entire time I play if I only buy regular stuff from stores, but if I am to buy equipment, I couldn't even buy something half-decent, much less upgrade it.

The are 2 main problems with the AH one is that people can put any price they want. Sure it is nice to have that freedom, but where do we draw the limit? Stuff you can get from stores should have a ceiling price that shouldn't be more than 20-25% higher from their original price for hard to get items(stores placed in high lvl areas) or have the same price as the game store.

The other problem is there is too much zenni in the game and not enough sink holes for it to disappear.
So far (as far as I know, bare with me as I only have like a month of play :P) zenni comes from rewards from in-game things (popos that sell for set amount of money on stores), monster drops, and things we sell to merchant npcs. Almost everything stays in game.

Stores and AH insertion fees are the main money sinks that I know of, the most effective one is the AH, but that is not enough.

Items such as clothing/armour should have set prices for normal and superior all the way to the max lvl and I mean SET prices, not suggested. This would help set prices for higher tier items such as exl and rare (example, lvl 30 regular gloves with 100/100 att m att go for 5k, lvl 30 superior gloves with 110/110 att m att and average effect go for 15k, with a top tier effect they could go as high as 50k). A player may think, lvl 30 superior with best effect is 50k.. lvl 30 excellent with average effect shouldn't be much higher because then no one would buy.. but still they have higher base stats so they shouldn't be much lower.. set price at 35-45k. The same item with best effects could be sold for 100k or maybe higher. Same logic would apply for rare and legendary, no one will put a lvl 30 legendary for 100m if their rare version is only worth 1m and no one would put a lvl 30 rare for 50m if their excellent version is not even 1m.

Upgrade stones should be sold on the upgrade store and prices should escalate and be priced according to the thing they'll be upgrading and their level. Also should only be proportional to the advantage they give in base stats as the main difference that the different tiers do is raise base stats plus have more effects (but these can't be upgraded with the stones).
Example:
Lvl 30 superior first upgrade = 10k, second 20k, third 30k, fourth 40k, fifth 50k, sixth 60k.
Lvl 30 excellent, first upgrade 20k, second 40k, third 60k, fourth 80k, fifth 100k, sixth 120k.
Lvl 30 rare, first upgrade 40k, second 80k, third 120k, fourth 160k, fifth 200k, sixth 240k.
Lvl 30 legendary, first upgrade 80k, second 160k, third, 240k, fourth 320k, fifth 400k, sixth 480k.

Lvl 34, 38, 42, etc will have a similar price scale, with higher prices for upgrades

The rare stones that allow for 1-3+ upgrade in one go should still be in game as rare drops, stones that minimize the chance of breaking should still be in game as rare drops. The stone that allow for 1-3+ upgrades in one go should work as a jump stone, example is if you use it and go straight to lvl 4, you only pay lvl 4 pricing (40k for my first example) and avoid lvls 1, 2 and 3 (total of 60k for my first example). The above example is the same system we have now with chance of breaking armour after lvl 4 and weapons after lvl 3, except that the npc now acts as a money sink, lowering the amount of zenni staying in the game and in turn lowering all item prices due to inflation being partly controlled.

Prices are an example, might be set higher, or lower, since the upgrades are a one time thing only for the entire life of the armour unless it breaks they shouldn't be dirt cheap or it will not work as the intended money sink.

Other thing we need to fix is restore item prices as they are ridiculously cheap. Healing food shouldn't be too expensive, but at 63 zenni a piece for food that heals 246 lp per 1-2 seconds for 30 seconds is too cheap. One could spend 300k and buy like 5k chicken legs and be set for almost the entire game. Price should raise to about 2k. Potion prices are about 700 zenni for a pot that heals 3k, this again is too cheap, this kind of pot should be selling for far higher, around 5k. EP Restores should follow the same route as healing foods, but slightly lower, if chicken leg is 2k then the restore counterpart could be around 1.5k. Since food items are more of a commodity (standing heals you, resting heals you faster) they should be treated as one and priced accordingly, but not too high that players go without.

To fix the mess that the AH is, we need price guides, a suggested price(based on what players have been selling for) or an average of what the price has been selling for the past week. Insertion fees should remain.

This would only help the economy in part, it will not be a magical fix and will take time to balance itself (unless the company decides to do a complete wipeout and start from scratch), but it is a start and I believe it is needed as fast as possible as this game doesn't even have one year in TW yet and is crumbling to pieces and the economy plays a major role. This along with balancing other things in the game will provide a more enjoyable experience for new and existing players and will make sure that DBO thrives in this market.

HAHAHA... every MMO not make prevent from broken item stone dropped from mobs. if they made, developer and publisher going bankrupt.

for other stones like u58-u60 (purple/green/red/blue/dark) will drop from mobs.

Didn't knew that those weren't dropped from mobs, I just assumed they did since every other stone did as well (my mistake). If it is only gotten through cash shop, then it should remain as is. I don't wish to change the way the game company makes money, only the current in-game economy by adding sink holes where they can be added.

upgrade tickets from chests are Binds.

Why lying for that ? oO

It wasn't binded, and I could trade it and sell it, I only have the cash to prove as I sold it already. For proof go to the AH and search the 'others' section, blue and pink tickets should be there (saw like 2 pink). The point of my post wasn't that though and the example was provided only to make a comparation ( and then give a suggestion on how the issue could be fixed), not to brag or show off.

Sorry if it came out that way.
