If you revert back to a previous patch and bypass the launcher through the direct app, it should fix everything. Was testing earlier and it fixed the problem the two times I ran it pre-english patch and post. Hope this helps
from what i can see on it ,it's the updating patch what has the problem not the lang0,but you are right the game does work that why with the lang0 on your desktop

When DBO patches, it runs a quickcheck through all the previous paks to make sure everything is the specified size. It's the reason you have to run the english patch over and over when the game updates.
