Would you like to meet any aliens or would you want them to stay where they are?

I think it would be nice to make radio contact with something within 50 light years or so. I'm firmly of the opinion that anything that could travel to our solar system in a reasonable amount of time (i.e. faster than light) would have to be so utterly advanced it would make us seem like cavemen, or even insects, considering doing so involves one-upping the laws of physics. There are currently hypothetical models for high relativistic travel that involve using the Hawking radiation generated by miniature, artificial black holes or antimatter as sources of fuel. Something that could use, a wormhole or hyperspace to travel from point A to point B would seem akin to something like Galactus or a Lovecraftian elder god. Quite frankly, I wouldn't anything vaguely resembling either within several light years of Earth.

I hate to break it to you, but if aliens look like anything, it's
not going to be blue-skinned humanoids. I mean, just look at the biodiversity on Earth. It's possible that they could have similar characteristics, like a bipedal form, but it's doubtful they'd look anything like us. If you want a more realistic depiction of aliens from the media to go by, I think Xenomorphs are about what one could expect.
