A major problem with this forum on the whole is the simple fact that many of the site members are childish. We've certainly had problems with moderator corruption before and it's a bit maddening -- being on the staff, it's impacted me quite a bit. Having a "democracy" in place on this forum would be a poor idea if you ask me. While Americans (myself included), certainly love that little slice of voice and freedom, it's not the objective best form of government. In some cases, totalitarian leadership is better to create a working government, and on a place like DBOCOM, it wouldn't be practical to implement such a system.

A lot of the rules we've come to impose are direct responses to the overall amount of childishness this forum tends to have. We infract people for posting topics in the wrong section because we have many topics posted in the wrong sections it's not even funny. When this site was getting more traffic, I was probably moving 6+ threads a day. That's why the rule was made, even though I'll usually just give out a warning for it myself. I don't think that's laziness.

Also, in response to Jocer's post, I should mention that I do not take status, notoriety, or helpfulness into account when I infract people. As far as I'm concerned, everyone should be treated equally under the law. Giving someone special privileges is just the kind of bias we should be preventing. Everyone, moderators included, should be given the same treatment when it comes to rule-breaking.

I won't go into anything else cause it may lead to misunderstanding but I think their is a current problem with the rules.

Rules should be direct but some of the rules on this forum aren't.

Some times mod do things without the rules. Like deleting a thread that they think are going down hill and may cause "Conflict" I seen this many time.

Some of the rules doesn't make this place better they have huge flaws. I can go on and on and list many instance of how rules have fuck over innocent user trying to help each other or other cases along those line.

Mods are active in this forum, So I see no reason for user being infracted for rules like "Offtopic post or section" I remember when i post in a section that was wrong EVEN though it has the description of what I wanted to post. Though since it wasn't Specifically for that section it got move and I got infracted. Yes it is the rule but because of the misleading section ruling I was punish.

Make the Rules or solid and stop pulling one out of your asses is all I gotta say. Then probably we will have less issues.

Fact is these some of the rules make mods lazy. Common sense - Delete a thread > Don't inform user why > User Post same thread not knowing why it was deleted > User get infracted > User confuse > Mod say "Its to much work to delete a thread and type a message to every user I do it to."

Then you shouldn't be a mod cause that fucking lazy. I'm sorry but I can even do that or got the balls to at least tell the user why it was remove.

I know what you guys will probably say "Well this is how this forum runs" Well there you go this is why you guys have this issues.

Come to my forum, I work as a support staff for paying customers who put money into the site and I get message everyday with the same thing, Offtopic shit and me having to move it and warning them.

Though I don't complain I do it everyday cause its my job and it works better this way cause they learn.

People shouldn't get punish for honest mistake. When if you kindly teach them right they will understand. Though some might because their opinion differ, but that is all matter of opinion.

I say some rules because not all of them is bad some of them are Perfect to keep a forum clean.

im just going to say this, this is site made for DBO players,DBOOOO but some of current mods weren`t playing game and was so fucking glad that game is shutting down.Im not very active but i do read some threads and that thing piss me off.Wishing for game to shut down but is mod on community of that game, fuckin' logic!

People forget that we don't get anything for doing this , we volunteer to help the site . mods are active, there are currently like 7 of us that do all the work and for what little community we have then we don't need more and having a complete change around when we don't need one is just stupid . No matter what happens people will always complain . Being called corrupt is pissing me off as everyone's personal issues with certain mods shouldn't mean the rest of us get complained about . They shouldn't be removed the simple way of dealing with all this personal bulshit is to stop mods infracting certain people if they are arguing with each other . Also every time you get infracted all mods and yourself talk about the infraction . Also as to the guy saying mods are stupid for not playing dbo ..... How is that relevant ? You don't need to play dbo to know if someone is flaming or not . We had like 4 of us that played and 3 that didn't so any personal In game crap got brought up to everyone's attention .
If people have issues with certain mods if they break rules or a user feels they are being targeted then it should be dealt with , I agree with you there . But I resent the fact I'm being called corrupt and bashed on for no reason . Threads like this just make everyone hate ALL mods . I know who everyone doesn't like as mods but that doesn't mean we should all get complained about

Yes I agree mods should be infracted for off topic ect just like everyone else , mods are not above everyone else and everyone regarding status, rep should all be equal , I have seen it many times where mods break a rule and not get punished for it , it's bad because then other mods think they can do it .

Only points that are productive so far is that mods need to be punished for breaking the rules, any personal bullshit between a mod and a user needs to be dealt with immediately to stop all this crap happening again

I agree about some rules like off topic and wrong forum ect shouldn't really apply now as there is not enough members


Also let's be real there are maybe 2 members that I think deserve to be mods , no other users go the extra mile ATM to help us

Missing the whole point on the "Mods don't play games"

He was just pissed that Mods of the DBOCOM were celebrating the fact dbo is shutting down. EVEN THOUGH they are on a forum for DBO. So he saying they should be supportive of DBO instead of celebrating that it is shutting down.

Though at least that is what I got from his point.

Dbo was a very fun game but it got stale and deserved to get shut down before it got even more ruined IMO with no updates , shit loads of bugs , people would only start to hate it . I remember as being a good game and I'm glad I spent all the money I did on it because I enjoyed it . But I am glad it's closing down because it was slowly ruining my fond memories if it , but that makes me a bad mod ? That somehow makes me think in my head" fuck it let's break some rules today because I'm glad dbo is closing " lol ? There's your "logic" that has been mentioned.

This community just needs to grow up also . Both mods and users argue and just report each other none stop , we had all the uprise guild drama with red guild ( a certain member got himself re permo banned yesterday as he waited for his 14 point temp infraction to run out before he just started to flame uprise in several posts , does that sound like a grown up ), I only hate threads like this because it accuses all mods of being ass holes.

I've argued with you in the past primo and we hold no childish grudges , we don't report each other and act like keyboard warriors , it did not spill over onto the site . If everyone did that then this thread wouldn't have been made

I would like to see this site continue as I like every member we have but when the entire community turns just because we hold a position of "mod" it just makes me think fuck this childish crap . I'm sure other people think the same

Everyone would like to chill. o_o but, its hard to chill when the rules aren't fair. Um, Also, fighting infraction is impossible. i was going to try to see if i could fight mine. But, its not worth it. Waiting a month or 2 maybe to get a response sounds.... like a hell of a long time


I think putting it to a poll.. is nice. Its basically a moral code. I wonder if cit actually listens to the members. Also, equal treatment? I don't think so honestly. I think some mods think they are more superior. well, some do. Anyway, i don't know i feel corruption. this site has so much potential. Its one of the best forums. Calling out users is a forum rule so, i never mentioned names of biased mods but, you know who i am referring to. I have much evidence of Mod corruption and bias-ism .

I understand mods do it for free but, if people are not doing their job like they should be then you shouldnt take the job tbh.



Like i said, only Cit can give infractions to mods correct? Well if he has a soft spot for the mod then they won't get infracted. I rather have The members have the right to have a vote and open discussion when it comes to infracting mods.

The members keep this site going and are treated like shit. I feel like the Third Estate in France during the 1700's. Seriously. We are what make this site but, get banned, infracted and have no say in what goes on. It's not fair.

I'm sure Cit would love for this site to pro-long because he gets small change from google ads. So, if he wants to keep getting those fews dollars he gets monthly then makes some changes and bring new activites to the site.\
