It's great. Back before people used speed. And actually used non ticketed gear and had strategies. Plasma a were used for that skill for anti confuse, stun etc..

also if you do a dojo or party budo it comes in handy even if your a PvE character

I know it has 2 sec cast but isn't stony dark beam useful to use as stun since KD doesn't work all time
