People should not fear their own government, and with the same logic the government should not hide things from their citizens. I understand there is situations where we should not have information leaked but this is not one of them. What happened to democracy? I want a say in what my country does when it directly involves me. How can I voice my opinion on an issue when it is hidden from me?

I under stand the point of withholding information when deal with terrorist's but when it involves what is going on in my own back yard I feel I have the right to know.

Democracy has gone to shit. The original ideals of discovery and freedom that this country was founded on were supposed to be sacred. Instead they have been abandoned in favor of money and power. Ironically these are the things now destroying this country.

I don't know for a fact how it's going to turn out, but I personally believe it'll soon be time to abandon ship.

Just throwing this out there but it's highly speculative that you all have ever really had a say in your government since I'd say.....Nixon would be the earliest I can recall just off the top of my head. *Stares at how the backers of certain political figures are also the ones who own a majority of the voting machines*

Random question that's semi related to all that's been discussed: I have an underaged friend in the states who tans nude on an almost daily basis. If the government has been watching her for a long enough period of time, shouldn't they technically be allowed to be charged with child pornography?
