Plasma definitely has more skills that you'd enjoy judging by what you'd like. I don't have any experience with the class, though, so I can't say much.

plasma might have more aoes, but karma its needed for speed partys, as plasma you will have a hard time trying to get in a party when you are lv 70.
I vote for karma because they get you in party faster at level 70 which can help make you money so you could be both pve and pvp. So it's the best of both worlds so to speak
