Hey, I was wondering what if users could spend their powerlevel once it gets high?
I mean, like the person who has 500 powerlevel can remove an infraction, at 1000 the person can change his/shes name, and etc.
in that way, since ppl get their powerlevel by helping others, they could spend it too

A way to use power levels might be nice, but the ability to make infractions go away should not be one of them.

No.
The infraction system is in place for a reason. People who help out and post often are not exempt from the rules. That's like saying because people like you, you should be allowed to commit a crime. On the other hand if you need your forum username changed, you can contact Citrinate about it. He'd probably be willing to help. |

Power level gets you nothing on this forum

I had something similar in my mind,so im going to post it as a suggestion or better an idea...
Here is what i had in mind,honor system and power lever system,power lvl can be increased by personal effort,like clicking ads or by winning a mini game(ik that goes far and needs work to be done)the prices on high lvl some permanent title dbo wise.
For honor system the ''thank user button''prices for it? his char pics in main page of the site with his personal achievements in game(not guild)for a week.
For both systems points get ripped if you use them...

We talked about making reward marks for certain power level's but never actually implemented anything.

Removing infractions simply won't happen , also people will just spam thank user button more than its happening now for higher PL

Also I hate the idea of buying points to have or remove mod powers. I joined another forums once that had this kind of system in place. I ended up getting banned on my 1st day for disagreeing with someone who had bought a ban hammer.
Crap like that only cause's drama. I am not opposed to your idea, only opposed to the reward's you suggested.

On a Final Fantasy forum i go on they use their "thanks" to buy booster packs for cards to play a triple triad type game. Some forums use them to buy promo stuff for that forum. There are many ways they can be utelized, but using them as the OP has said is a poor choice.
