Lol it's not a basic human righ to get married. If they truly want to get married then they can go to another country but no, they insist on changing the sacred ideal of heterosexual marriage which, might I add has been like that since the beginning of the mankind. Obviously it's worked this far, why change it? I'm just mad there was not a "OH HELL NO!!!" Option on the poll.

"Change the sacred ideal of heterosexual marriage"

How does homosexual marriage change the "sacred ideal" of heterosexual marriage? Straights will still get married, have kids and form families. Nothing will change and you get to see the gays you hate so much finally shut up about marriage.

By the way, I looked it up. Look at article 16.

http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/index.shtml

Gays have every right to marry.

Marriage is intended to be a sacred bond between a man and a women as god made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. So ya it would be changing that sacred idea and that states that they have right to marriage, I don't even think you should call it marriage of its not a man and a woman so I don't see how it helps you.

I should be glad I'm a mod, otherwise I would have nothing to filter myself from how much I hate your post.

Your sacred book is not a universal truth for everyone so stop acting like it is.

They are treated as 2 separate definitions: marriage and same sex marriage.

I really wanna hear what you have to say. I think cit should let you tell me how you really feel about my post.

Sadly the word filter would probably cancel out a good 80% of the post.

Yes that's an entirely reliable source.

Official definitions almost never change, but the world is changing all the time.

But now I see that the reason you don't want gays to get married is because of your religion. In everybody's best interest, I'm ending this conversation. Have a nice day.

@Jax I implore you to close this thread before I lose the ability to stop myself from doing what you wish to do so much.

I voted No, because I am against Gays and Gay Marriages.

Does it bother me? No. But what does bother me is the band wagons and the individuals who spit in the faces of their own families just because they want to be different. The disrespect for their own bloodline irks my nerves a bit. I remember back in the late 80s, early 90s when homosexuals weren't really heard of at all. Didn't really make a peep in the world til the mid 2000s. Why? This is just for attention.

Yes it bothers me that they want to get married. They already have the right to be together, in public even. They already get to vote so what really do they have to complain about?

What? You gonna pull the whole "Live and let live" motto out your ass? My answer to that is NO! In my country the good ole US of A our flag color is RED, WHITE, BLUE and GOLD (for the stars). That flag stands for Land of the Free and Home of the Brave, and that didn't include homosexuals (My thoughts). And reading some of these comments about letting them have kids just infuriates me. Why would you give the product of a straight couple to a gay couple who want to be different? It's ridiculous. That's like giving some random noob 100 million zeni for just talking a good game. It's beyond me why some of you guys are for this crap.

Call me homophobic, call me what you want. I'm an asshole but I'm a honest asshole at that. I don't care for religion at all, nor do I care for politics. But what I do care for on a grand scale is Logic, Morality, The Moral Compass, and Science.

Now before any of you go and try to compare gays to animals, let me add a little kicker to your thesis there.

Gays have thinking brains, opposable thumbs and they can talk (A little too damn much if you ask me). Animals don't really think, they go off trail and error. The only animal close to having opposable thumbs and thinking brains are chimps and apes. And the only difference between humans and apes is cooked food. Yea, watch Animal Planet, you'll learn that. So gays have no excuse other than being narcissistic cannibals, just like vegetarians.

I shouldn't even have to mention that marriage is between a Man and a woman at this point. Where the hell do you think CHILDREN come from!? You sure as hell can't rub two sticks together and make them, nor can you mash two tacos together and get em either. So what the hell?

This has been a message from Majaku, The God Damn Batman aka Black Cawk "It's not gonna suck it's self dammit"

They want to get married because they literally don't receive the same rights married people do. Also, my sister is a lesbian and has been so ever since she could talk basically, when she gave her Pre-K teacher flowers on Valentine's Day ;D

So in her case it definitely couldn't be attention. She's not a manhater, she doesn't have a distaste for men, but she's always been a bit of a tomboy...

And your point about the monkeys was terrible XFD
It literally has nothing to do with you. Do you realize how much harder it is going to be for them to adopt children if they don't have legally married status?

Who cares if they turn out differently? That's like saying people who don't hold your ideals shouldn't be allowed to breed.

Also LOL at your bloodline, do you even know your genealogical history? Are you so noble as to be descended from them House of Windsor or one of the last lines of Charlemagne? Your whole argument is that it's not a religious matter but a moral one, but what good is that when you get your morals from a religion?

How hilarious.

Lol I guess you were there when it got invented huh? Also it hasn't been this way forever, many cultures have allowed gay marriage throughout history, and in Greek and Roman cultures pederasty was extremely common. As you know, America is the new Roman Empire so :P

Also some of the first laws created around barring homosexual marriage in Rome were because of Christianity, so yes it is very tied up in that.

If it's not a basic human right to get married, then I guess you won't mind when we take your right to get married away?

Lol what inbred logic

Ok, first off.

I don't know your sister, nor do I care for her well being for that matter. Now that we got that out the way. Did you even read anything of my that one logical post of mine? Or did you just do the obvious thing and skim through it?

And as for your "Bloodline" question, yes, I do know it. My descendants are from Eygpt and parts of Northern Russia. Although I am an African American, those are were my roots come from. But back to the topic at hand, no one spit in the face of their families because they wanted to be different.

I still yet to see any real logical reason why gays should be allowed to marry or have children of/from straight couples other than the whole Bandwagon bid going on in this topic.

My question is simple, "Why should they?"

Err because they want the kids and not enough people do?

It's called adoption dude. People don't always just go out and get surrogates and such. There are plenty of kids out there and plenty of gay couples who would take them, so why hassle them?

Also that bandwagon is older than Egypt, so yeah.

EDIT: FURTHERMORE, you continue to show just the kind of indifference you have to people simply because you don't know them. I mean, I care for your well being even though I don't know you, I wouldn't want someone taking away YOUR right to marry who you want.

Actually that's what it was intended to be but free will is our choice. So I see where you are coming from.

They want to get married because they literally don't receive the same rights married people do. Also, my sister is a lesbian and has been so ever since she could talk basically, when she gave her Pre-K teacher flowers on Valentine's Day ;D

No need to become judge mental and start name calling. I understand that yes, some cultures in the past did accept it. But tell me, what happened to every single one of those cultures? You do realize that back in the day if you didn't follow those set laws, you were killed. That's how strongly they believed in them. It's against my religion and I don't think it should be instituted in America. That's my opinion I'm sorry most of you don't feel that way but my opinion's not gonna change because of what you believe. There, I've said my point and now I'm done with this thread it's frustrating me.
