'Sup so here i'm gonna make a guide on how to slightly increase your FPS, for people that have a great computer it won't make that much difference but for people like me IT IS. (cause like some of you know, i didn't really wanted to play those last months since my FPS was perma ~6-9).

Our goal here is to increase the game's priority taken by your computer, wich is for almost every programs onto Normal.
so normally you can change it just by going into your tasks list then right click and priority, but i tryed to do it and it appears that i couldn't do it, an error would just pop up and say that i don't have the access to this.
so i searched on the internet and i found a way to creat a Client that will automatically start the selected program at the priority that you want.

So here's what you'll have to do :

open your Notepad, then write, as you wish, one of those 2 phrases :

START /ABOVENORMAL DBO.exe

START /HIGH DBO.exe

then just register the file wherever you want BUT you'll have to place it into the main folder of the game (here C:/Programmes/DBO_CT_TW).
you'll have to name the file DBO.bat , why? i don't know search on google -.-


then it'll turn into a sort of Launcher.



here's the difference between the 3 prioritys, in the order : NORMAL, ABOVENORMAL, HIGH .







so as you can see, this awesome sheet made me able to play again, before i started using that i had most of the time 6~9 fps, and only rare moments 15~20fps, but now it became the opposite :p

so first of all i hope that the mods will realise that many players here like me need this kind of guides to be able to play.
but most important, i hope that it'll work for you too, like it workd for me.

BTW : maybe some of you can change the priority only by clicking on the task, then it might come from the version of my computer, but i know many people that had to use a .bat file just 'cause they couldn't change the priority by the task manager, so i thought that it'd be cool to tell everyone about it.

Edit : it works on every game etc it's just a basic thing you know but pretty hard to know, just read my post again all you have to do is open Notepad and write either START /ABOVENORMAL DBO.exe or START /HIGH DBO.exe and register the file and name it DBO.bat so it'll launch your DBO.exe file (the direct launcher, not the patcher) into the priority you wrote, then you'll have to put the file into your DBO_CT_TW folder, along with all the other files, then just run it.

Want to increase ur fps? buy new computer, if you have an bad computer you can't do too much with mmorpgs.

as you said, why would we want to play ? hmm because we want to play? there i give a way to reduc the lag if you have a ****ty computer, so tell me, you first flammed me by private message, now you're being toxic on an helpfull thread? what is wrong with you lol.

This Looks helpful!, anyway i'm playing on a win XP computer, the computer might be a decade old, but it is a really good friend of mine :P i run the game, it takes a while to load, i DO experience lag, but i prefer good quality over lag, thanks anyway roxxstar, another good guide :D
PS: does this work on all versions and servers?

It supposed to work for every version. It's just changing priority of game task so more resources is used for DBO

this is great i get around 20-30fps normally maybe i can get higher since i get no lag only random fps freezing at times

also i use gamebooster

dbo still works on windows xp? how u get ur launcher to work?
