I have tried every solution or fix i could find on the internet including here. However, none of which work not even uninstalling the client and re-installing. So i decided to post a picture of the error code with a description of my problem.

Issue is every-time i open DBO in administrator mode the game always does the same patch no matter what and when i get the ability to hit start i then get this error code.

Uninstall the game, then go to where you install the game on your C drive and delete the folder and everything in it. Then reinstall the game.

I have tried this once already but I will do this again. Will reply in about an hour or so.

Ok so i uninstalled then re-installed without my firewall on. The client patched up just fine but now i am getting game initialization error. Going threw all the trouble shooting again i swear.

Ok i have tried everything and i mean everything on theses forums uninstalling and reinstalling so many times i'm sick of it. absolutely nothing is working.

The funny thing is, I have this problem too. The launcher updates, patches, then this window pops up. Does anybody know taiwanese here? What does it mean? Anyway!
The difference is, my game STARTS actually. After I click Ok on this popup, I can click start on the launcher. Or only by just starting it with dbo.exe, have you tried that?

The only remaining problem I face now is, I've been playing the level 70 update for 6-7 days, and today, the in-game fonts changed. And they look like sh*t. I can read them, but they are annoying. Does this have to do anything with that pop-up error thingy?
I read somewhere here the taiwanese version is the worst when it comes to correct updating, patching; and it's not looked after in over all.

You must run the game as administrator (if you don't have windows 7, look up Google and figure out how to set administrator settings), if this still doesn't work, get rid of the old patch (wherever you installed it) and you'll just have to play in Taiwanese for now. I know my patch has been messed up for awhile. The Taiwanese don't like us English speaking players and idk why. But anyway, that's about all you can do. It worked for me after I uninstalled and re-installed,you just have to run as admin.

But now, I am getting new error just today. Not same as this so I gotta figure it out :/ ****in updates a **** always piss me off because they're always ****ing with my game. Never played an MMO that constantly ****s up like this -__-

Thought I should reply with how I finally got this ****e to work.

Ok like I said earlier I tried everything and nothing worked or so it seemed not to. It was a combination of things that actually worked for me so I will post up my guide.

First things first decided to start from scratch redo everything including downloading the installer file again. Make sure everything is completely erased search everywhere including your registry.
Game guard was a major issue as well conflicts with antivirus programs and firewalls.

So your first step is to completely uninstall your firewalls or antivirus only if it has a firewall with it. If you are unwilling to do this then contact the technical support associated with your program and get them to step by step change settings exactly right. However, if you do this then you will have to do this after You have fully setup the game and launched it first.

I use windows firewall and Microsoft essentials this will not affect the game. Only stipulation I found to protecting my pc lol.

Next step, this is a Taiwanese, Chinese, Korean game ext. So depending on your version you will need to change your pc region and language settings first before you install the game. MUST BE FIRST!!!!!
Now this is also important not sure why but I had to create a separate folder not the default one the game created, I called it DBO. Install your game there.

Ok so now you should have your game installed and patched this is also really important so pay attention. Your DBO.exe and Launcher.exe both need to be set to run as administrator and the shortcut the installation makes needs to be deleted. After you have done this you can create your own short cute but only after you have followed these steps.

Now DO NOT DO THE ENGLISH PATCH YET. DO NOT INSTALL YOUR ANTIVIRUS OR FIREWALLS YET. Restart your pc.

Now when the launcher is up click on the options tab this will be in a deferent spot depending on your version. Make sure you pc monitor resolution matches the games or vice versa they just need to be the same.

Now launch the game till you get to the login screen then simply exit the game out. Now install your English patch following the instructions exactly. However, you made a custom file remember so plz copy and paste your new location for your local.

Now run the game and create a toon after that is done you can exit out and install your firewalls ext.

Remember if your firewall conflicts with the settings at all for any reason you could have to do this all over again. Why do I know this because I had to three times.

Initialization failed is this ****e right. What I think it means is two things one your firewall is preventing the game from launching two the game is preventing you from launching because the servers are down.

So before you say this guide does not work ask yourself two things. Did I follow this crazy guide exactly and two are the servers down.
