I was wondering if anyone is able to possibly develop and update a new english patch that doesn't conflict with the new updates? Everyone is having to uninstall the game every new patch that is released if they apply the old english patch and it screws up the launcher, which gets pretty annoying.
I won't be using the current english patch anymore because I don't want to be re-installing the patch every time a new update comes.

I hope something can be done about this soon. Sorry if I'm sounding like a greedy and selfish person, I know this isn't an easy task but I'm sure it would help out everyone a lot.

How are you certain that the problem is caused by the English patch?

All the English patch does is it modifies some of the text in the lang0.pak file. When the game patches, it completely overwrites this file (assuming there's a new version of the file in the patch), making it as if you never had the patch installed in the first place.

If you think the English patch is the source of your problems, then you can manually remove all traces of ever having the patch on your computer by deleting the "lang0.pak", "base.pak", "readme.txt", and "DBOCOM Language Patcher.exe" files. If doing that doesn't solve your problem, then the problem wasn't caused by the English patch. There's also nothing that the English patch does that would ever require that you re-install the entire game to get things working.

I believe he's referring to the issue that it causes when the launcher updates itself and checks to see if the file sizes have been changed. This can easily be solved however by simply removing the entirety of the English patch (as Cit said above) before allowing the game to patch up to the newest update. Then simply re-enter the patch, and everything should be fine.

Removing those files does solve the problem, however it also makes the TW version text in Korean. I always just end up reinstalling too...

I've never experienced that, but I'm guessing that it uses the Korean lang0.pak file in the "pack" folder if there isn't one in the "localize/TAIWAN/pack" folder.

If that's the case, then you can re-download the localized lang0.pak file by clicking on this button in the launcher.

Alternatively, you might even be able to patch the lang0.pak file in the "pack" folder, as long as you make sure there's no lang0.pak file in the "localize/TAIWAN/pack" folder.

Same here, I play without the English patch and I would still get that update error.
