I also got this error. I'm beginning to wonder if it has to do with either vista, or my antivirus interfering.

From what I've her its your antivirus software blocking Nprotect, this happens with a number of games.

Im having the Nprotect error too. Then everytime i re-launch the client it re-downloads the patches, even when ran in administrator mode.

I've also had to add 4 exceptions for files my anti-virus was blocking. Starting to get pretty irritated now!

If it's something to do with NProtect, 99% of the time is anti-virus related problem, they list out the list of anti-virus that conflicts the game in their website.

I found the problem. My avast was placing the game into an autosandbox, but now i'm getting an error that says Game initialize failed. Does that have to do with the servers not being up yet?

What I did was, I made sure to go into the files and make sure that my client already had premissions. After that everything ran fine.

- So look at your desktop
- Right click your dbo shortcut
- Open file location
- Right click and set it to admin permission. It wasn't just enough that I opened the shortcut with privileges.

Ah thanks, just did that and it worked. The client loaded up fine. But i did get a box popup that closed the client when i clicked it, i assume thats just because servers are still down?
