Hey everyone. I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the beta release?

This is the closed beta.. correct?

If so, does anyone know when an open beta may begin?
Or how one goes about getting into the closed beta?
I heard rumors about having to have a Korean Social Security Number and matching name.. and seeing as how I don't understand Korean.. my hopes are pretty dim.

I would love to know any ways around the problems above though.. seeing as how I'm so excited to play this game that I can hardly stand it. (Watched every Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z episode when I was younger religiously and always wanted an MMO to come out for the series and its finally coming to fruition.)

First off, welcome to the forums. :)

It is closed beta, but even if it was an open Korean beta test you'd still need an account (and a KSSN).

There are ways to get a KSSN, although signing up with someone else's KSSN is identity theft (the chances of them actually going after you are slim, but it's still illegal), but even with the KSSN you need to activate the account with a Korean cell phone number (which you really can't get past).

The easiest way around it, sadly, is to wait for the english beta tests. :(

Edit : Apparently you only need to do the cell phone activation for an adult's account, follow this guide on how to make a kid's account.
