Actually, that's a rumor that the Dragon Ball Wiki seems to have propagated. There's nothing about that mentioned in any interview I've ever seen involving Mr. Toriyama, and their little note regarding that has no link to an external source. It seems to have made its way through the fandom, though, as proven by you, and many others, saying that. Find me a reliable source where that's stated and I'll believe you.

Also, there's no word on a US release, other than Namco Bandai stating they want to see how it does in Asian markets first before releasing it here. There was something from a short while back that it would be released in Hong Kong before the end of the year. Here we are in December with no news regarding it since then, so I'd assume that it's been delayed.
