Hi to all, i tried to install DBO to a my friend, but the game stuck on the loading screen (we have waited for 10 minutes)
PC Specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400
RAM: 2GB
Video Card: nVidia 9500 GT with 320.49 drivers (latest)
OS: Windows 7 x86 (32 bit)
Some time ago i ran this game on a virtual machine with lower specs than these, so the hardware is not the problem. We had some problem with avast that caused a freeze everytime i run DBO, but i solved disabling it before starting the game (incompatibility with gameguard i suppose).

I ran the game as admin, with and without the Windows XP compatibility, it didn't work. We reinstalled the game about 3 or 4 times, nothing. We also tried to change the regions setting to "Taiwan", nothing even this time.

What else can we do? Is this problem fall into "format that mysteriously resolves" category XD? I formatted recently that pc, i find it strange :|

Italian: Di sicuro non metto AVG che fa ancora pił schifo LOL
English: I don't install AVG for sure, it sucks more than avast LOL

On my laptop i tried 2 weeks ago to run the game with VMWare. The Virtual Machine had 2 CPUs of 4 and 1.2GB of RAM with Win8 x64 without any antivirus (i disabled Windows Defender), so i don't think that the problem is the RAM. So i'll try to update, i think.

was the antivirus disabled while you where installing/updating?also check firewall options,if nothing there check the router maybe too much old traffic blocking fresh incoming hash,a smal/hard reset might fix it,just saying...

I was going to say it's your RAM too. If Avast takes too much Ram then you could actually have less Ram available than you did on your virtual machine. Also, Windows 8 takes less Ram than windows 7 does.
