I prefer the one with the effect. It looks cool *.*

the effect one is cool but...the problem is the glow. so for that reason i like the 2nd one better good job.

Actually, there's a tool in Photoshop that can do that in a matter of seconds.

Magic wand don't get it precisely. I think he went line by line for best quality

I usually get it done pretty well with magic wand, even zoom in and eraser for some finishing touches, sometimes. Line by line, if necessary. But yeah, you're not really supposed to do it with just any random screenshot of your character. It's easy to get a clean background in DBO, even a completely black one.
