hmmm. do you have a lot of other programs open at the same time? (this includes anything in the background, such as anti virus, skype, steam etc..). Also if you wouldnt mind listing your computer specs, it may help determine an issue. if you know what model your computer is, list it. If not and are on windows, go to start, then type in the search box "dxdiag". When the new window pops up, it will list memory, processor etc.. Just list these specific items on your post

disaplay: (click on the display tab at the top and it will list your video card, even if it is onboard)
Just to gather some more info, does it freeze in busy areas, or does it not matter where you are at all? Have you tested letting the game sit in a not so busy spot (dont move, just let your character stand in a spot) and see if it happens? I have never heard of this issue before, just trying to narrow down exactly what might be going on.
Also this post is of course assuming you are on a windows based computer, not sure if DBO was ever ported to mac (without the mac user needing to either run a dual boot or virtual machine), I have not played DBO in a while. i can probably help trouble shoot your issue though :)
EDIT: also do you have skype? It may make it easier to chat on there to see what I can help on there (text chat, or voice, doesnt matter to me, just lets me reply faster lol)
