Dende Priest current build as of September 27th, 2010

This is a rough idea of the build. Wondering if I missed anything critical, or put points were they aren't useful.

PS: Spud1984, if you read this, please don't point me to your build. I've read it, and I don't like/want it.

good luck leveling a denden lol. SO boring and long. and if you do it with a friend you still feel useless cause not much healing is needed for any class XD

EDIT: Also isnt kaiken useless for you? I mean the speed is nice for doing repeats, but it doesnt boost healing does it? maybe crit heals? but not really worth it i would say.

Also in the dende tree, wouldnt increasing the duration of your skills be more usefull then a bit more ep effectiveness? have your heal over time or bubble absorbing spells last a bit longer (and buffs not expiring right away) would be a lot more helpful on EP and keep people up, seeing how every heal has a cooldown

alsio i would say put 1 point into the rez. rezzing with 490 health isnt gonna keep them alive if they aggro something lol. so no point in having the bit of extra health for 1 skill point. and take that point out of increase LP in the dragon tree, 62 LP is completely useless. you get loads of lp buffs and that little tiny 62 isnt even what a mob would hit you for, its way less so again another small thing that isnt gonna save a life.

Well, I'm no expert in Dende Preists, but judging by the 23 levels I went through as a Dragon Clan Namekian, here's what I've got:

If you're doing support, I can guarantee you won't be transforming, as you can't heal while giant. Further more the max LP increase buff isn't all that great either. An extra 60 or so LP isn't worth 2 SP. You could get the same effectiveness out of the passive buff for half the cost. I shoved some of the SP into the EP restoring moves, because trust me, you'll want those. It'll also help out any possible Super Saiyan friends at higher levels.

I like playing my denden, so thats no problem. Keep in mind he is level 22. Some of these points are already spent.

Some things I changed:
I maxed the first healing wave because straight heals are always good. More life is better.

I dropped 2 points out of the EP effectiveness, since I can't even have it active a lot. Placed those points into duration. I thought if I left out duration heals I wouldn't need it, but I forgot about buffs.

I took the point out of Kaio Ken. I can see your point there.

Things you said that I didn't do(and why):
You put 3 points in Kami's blessing. Why? Why is that 60 lp worth 2 extra points, but the 62 from the passive thing was a waste. The point is already in, so I'm stuck with it anyway. You maxed Unleashed Spirit, same comment, why? Those tiny boosts won't make a lick of difference at high levels. I also just took points out of Kami's light for the same reason.

The Revivals:
Kami's Will will stay maxed, if I revive you with 400LP, and an auto aggro mob gets you, we're screwed. However if I do it with 1000+ hp, I at least have long enough to heal you afterwards and give you a chance to rejoin the action.

Kami's Revival got its extra point for the massive cooldown reduction. I can now mass revive every 10mins(bit less) if need be.

I (as of yet) have decided to leave the extra points in Kami's Belief, Kami's Retreat and Instantaneous movement. IM I left for the half in its cooldown. Should be able to teleport once every 25 seconds. I like it. KR was left simply because I think it would be useful when dodging auto-aggro mobs. 51 seconds(after increased duration) can be a very long time when you're not able to be targeted. KB because I think 12 extra points in my priority stat is worth it, at least more than anything else.

Lastly, I chose to leave Kami's mercy at level 1, because I don't see the extra 250LP(even en masse) being useful.

Thanks for your input Cold, if you have anything more to add(to this reply, anyway) please feel free. That was useful.

Unless I'm missing the importance of 71 physical defense, why would I get Final Healing wave?

Edit: Kiyza, you might wanna check the build now, and some comments apply to your suggestions. Also, the Giant transformation is just for kicks for me, can't be replaced. Lastly, I have not once had EP troubles yet, except for dashing(obviously), however, if the need for use of those skills arise, there are 4 expendable points that can be used to max those 2 skills.

just to answer your one question about putting points into more LP from the one skill rather then keep it where it was for yourself was because you get the same outcome but for everyone, not just yourself.

Kami's Aurora NEED'S to be maxed out if you wanna be a full support denden (well, actually all healers need it maxed out.)

I don't really see the purpose of the extra point in instant teleport. Maybe I'm missing something, but unless you just really like to hop around the world I don't see a use for it (assuming all of the #s in the database are correct).

The only time I could imagine it being of any value is if your party is spread out way too much and some people end up way outside of your healing range (which I don't believe should ever happens in the current dungeons/TMQs). The 2 second cast time in addition to about 2 more seconds for the animation just make it almost useless in battle except for such a situation (and don't forget the cost is about the same as 3 or 4 consecutive dashes).

If I didn't see that you had a max level character, I would call you a moron based off this reply, so there must be something I'm not getting. At max, It restores 1140 ep in one minute. Thats currently have of my current MP(level 22). So I immediately discern you mean I'm supposed to cast it on party members(especially because it takes a 1/3rd of what it gives back to cast it.)

Is that 1140 EP for my party members really worth casting it every 10-15 seconds?

I mostly got it for the halved cooldown. I do like the idea of hopping around the world wildly, as I said in my large reply, I've left the point there for now, but it could be placed elsewhere if the need should arise.
