This isn't an argument. It's just a question. I've just always wanted someone else' formal opinion on the matter.

Ok, so I'm gonna start by mentioning cash shop points, and the matter of using let's say, cn-usa or whatever in a REAL WORLD, LEGAL, BUSINESS EXCHANGE. Now I don't know if any of you are lawyers out there, but if there are any law school graduates out there, specifically people familiar with international exchanges and agreements, that would be awesome. Because I am really wondering about this. Normally, when exchanging your real world goods (i.e. $$$ MONEY $$$) for something in exchange (i.e. a business transaction), the items in which you received are now YOURS and the items (or money) that they received is now THEIRS. Now, I'm wondering how this applies to buying cash shop points for example. After you give cn-usa (the middle man selling Wasabii goods) money for the cash shop points, are the cash shop points legally YOURS? Do you OWN them? And if so, does what you purchase in game actually belong to you? Considering you legally obtained the necessary materials (cash shop points) needed to purchase the digital make believe items in game, I would consider those items to be mine if I were to do that.

It could be that just the cash shop points themselves are legally yours but anything you buy with them is not.

I'm writing because I'm just wondering about some people who may be getting screwed by updates or how this would affect them. Cases exampled would be: Some dude just bought cash points for like, idk, $18 for 500. Then he used for like, say, tons and tons of pet xp bottles. Scenario: Next day, wasabii decides to change pets again, and pet bottles are not only useless now, but they were also removed from game.

Did the company Wasabii just take $18 from him? or did they just take what he spent his cash points on? O.O
That is the question

Is this a legal issue? Understand my point?

Well it kind a compensates game for non casher players lolZ. They never risk to lose anything but their wasted time playing this game. When you put money into in-complete game you should expect some changes that will harm your vallet.

If anyone decides to spend money on DBO it is their choice how to use Cash Points. I spent Cash Points getting a huge inventory, a vehicle, and cool dogi pieces. Three reasons I spend cash on DBO.

1. DBO is fun and I enjoy getting the most out of it.

2. Good games need money spenders to keep going.

3. It helps keep the game free for players that can't afford to spend money on DBO.

I agree with that, I say this because I had a similar occurence happen in another game. Once you spend the money then who ever you gave it to has the legal obligation to compensate you. They can do so however they want to, with their own policies. Once you spend it with wassabi or netmarble or whoever give you in game content. This content belongs to the game, not you. You cannot legally own part of a game. The software laws in place are very simple and always have been. They are just now starting to change.

So, all in all... yes the points are yours but in respect to Wassabi not the Law. Once you spend your money they can do whatever they want, as long as it goes along with their terms of condition. I'm not sure what it is since I can read TW or KR but I'm sure if you were really interested you could translate it all.

Thank User If I helped.
