So, going through the naming process, I noticed a few suggestions that pertained to how monsters should be named after the westernization part of the translations. I thought it would be cool to get your opinions of what you'd rather see in the final translation. Focused on the saibaman perspective, I have two posts here with the suggestions after which I'll clarify.

ODSTxGundam

Mahemium

To use an example, one of the translations I made for a saibaman was "Potato Saibaman"
-If going by ODSTxGundam's suffixes, it would translate to "Potato Saiba"
-If going by Mahemium's prefixes, it would translate to (correct me if I'm wrong) "Saibaispud"

*POST UPDATED*

There are two more suggestions for the poll concerning what the final westernized translation will be when naming the saibamen.

--Cultivars - The alternative name that Saibamen were known by in the manga.

--Saibaman - The name they were known by in the manga.

I can work with either but ultimately its not up to me so let me know your opinions or if you wanna throw your hat in the ring let me know :)

I guess I'll use whatever has most votes by this time next week or if changes need to be made before then, I'll change it around accordingly.

Dont just add the word saiba
Cus the word in korean 재배맨 is saibaman and not just saiba

I think I understand what you're saying. You wan't to leave the names "as is" after translation. Ok, anyone who wants to vote to leave the "saibaman" at the end of the translation or any other translations, post it here and I'll count them along with the poll.

1 vote - Saibaman ( Gold Saibaman, Rock Saibaman, Metal Saibaman, etc)

Disappointed that Cultivar is not an option here. I feel like if we're going by the english manga we should use cultivar, not saibaman. But oh well.

That can be an option. I apologize for not adding more options but I can't edit the poll. The same as the previous post, I'll add your vote for "Cultivar" here and count it at the end. Anyone who wants to vote for the translations not included in the poll post here and I'll add them.

--1 Vote - Cultivar [Manga Translation](Dark Cultivar, Giant Stone Cultivar, Flying Cultivar, etc)

--1 vote - Saibaman ( Gold Saibaman, Rock Saibaman, Metal Saibaman, etc)

I say as close to literal as possible, which in most cases is saibaman.

isn't it cultivator because saiba or saibaman is not a real word the original anime referred to saibaman as man because it had a humanoid body but if it doesn't have that why call it man especially if we go for a westernise version

before any complaints i said "IF WE GO WESTERN" because i know not everyone can read and will flame with insults

no dont go against my ideals
