I built my PC some 6 years ago now. It has similar specs as yours Dumke but loses out on some key areas due to older tech. Most notably:

- Vista instead of Win7
- Phenom II Quad core processor (4 cores instead of 6).
- Running dual ATI HD Radeon 4870 graphics cards with crossfire instead of a single nVidia GeForce card for better stability
- 1x 500GB + 1xTB HDD's [internal Storage] 2xTB HDD's [External Storage]

my pc is awful, talking about this though..... i was piecing a new pc together today. gonna cost £500 with an i5 processor but the motherboard can have i7. so in a year or so i can just do a swap
