After I launch the game with the game launcher it goes all the way through and then I have to type in my user name and password, I do that and then press start I waited and nothing happened

Hey, welcome first of all. As for you question, don't worry about it, it's something normal, they just do maintenances each Thursday so the servers are down, it should be back in about 4 hours or so. Happened to me too when I've first tried the game heh. Have fun! :)
