I got the "game initialize failed" error message after today's maintenance and I have had no problems up until today. Any ideas as to why? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just got on and I'm able to run the launcher and login to the game after updating GameGuard. So if you're still having problems after this post it's not the maintenance.

reinstall eng pat make sure run everythin as admin.

One thing that helped me out was disabling D3DOverrider for DBO.exe (what it does is force v-sync and triple buffering). It seems any kind of post-processing or anything related to the .exe freaks the game out big time. Not sure if it matters or not, but I have nProtect GameGuard 3.0 installed. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Also, for me, running the game as administrator didn't make any difference, but it can't hurt to use it anyway.
