Anyway, I think going from fighting Recome to fight Perfect Cell is a way too big leap.

When Cell was fighting Gohan, Cell got pissed and made the same mistake Trunks made. That's probably what we're looking at here. |

I don't think so.
Compare:
the eyes are totally different, and he looks more like Piccolo Daimaoh. He could be somehow controlled by Towa (Recome also had glowing red eyes when controlled).

New things i could notice so far:
Cell v2 <--- Cell made by the new final enemy of the story (notice the x)
Baby Cell mobs. Maybe what we need to kill before cell in the dungeon
Classic DB Characters. New time leap, and with that, new skill?
Mr. Popo. or some kind of mech popo. We'll go to Kami palace maybe? Or its some kind of weird mask.
That kinda old cell: Cell grunts, kinda like the metrosexual bulls (yeah, this is how i call RP bulls) but in a Cell version?
Turtle and Crane icons: I smell some kind of weird PVP, where you join Turtle School or Crane School. And, if that happens, that would be badass. But being Crane would be kinda unfair, since Turtle will be filled with the Goku's wannabe. (C'mon, the most epic characters in Dragon Ball were from the Crane school, or related to it)
