My folder does not have a DBO.exe
It only has a DBOlauncher.exe
Does anyone know of a way I can fix this? (I'm having the same problem. I hit start, and nothing happens).
Edit: I just realized that my anti-virus destoyed DBO.exe. I am re-installing now and telling AVG to ignore it. Does anyone know why anti-virus doesn't like the program?

I am having the same problem as a lot of people here. When I click start nothing is happening, it's not going to game guard. I have the game loaded on another computer, but for some reason on this computer that is far better, it won't run. Also when I try to run DBO.exe I'm getting the permission error as well, however I have firewalls turned off and no anti-virus running. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay guys I figured it out, basically the guy up there was right.. we need to add an exception to our firewall. I'm guessing the majority here are AVG users, the way I did this is:
1. Open AVG
2. Tools > Advanced Settings
3. Under 'Resident Shield' > Excluded Files
4. Add DBO.exe to your Excluded Files list
Try it again and it should work, hope this helps. If your not a AVG user then I'm guessing its something along the same lines.
