and u bought new armour then when u upgrade to +2 the mod works again on it
Yes, I know. You don't get my point. When you want to go higher than +2 because you want higher stats you lose the mod and have to change the file, which you can't do if you have someone make the file for you because you won't know how to change it.
I've repatched and reinstalled, but the game just keeps giving me that error upon start-up. Is it possible it's because the Korean text, when shown in Notepad, shows up like this?
I thought it would be that way due to the way it's saved (as ANSIF, rather than UTF-8 or something), because of the size. I've also tried using files people have uploaded and pasted to this thread, but the game still crashes. I guess I'm out of luck?
I had installed a few things the other day and that caused my edits to cause constant crashes like that. I have narrowed the programs that caused it down to .NET Framework 4 and Visual Studio 2010. Not quite sure why these cause an issue...
If reinstalling and repatching do nothing to help even if you've got a file right and you have either of these two installed, try uninstalling them.
Bah. It's no good. I uninstalled .NET Framework and I don't have that other program. Then, I uninstalled and reinstalled DBO again, then rebooted. Then I went back and edited the file. Yet, the problem still persists.
I even tried running the game in Windows XP compatibility mode, but the game just doesn't work with that. Lmfao
