See, now it crashes when I put it back to the way I had it.

When you mess up a cake and try to put it back the way it was it's still not the same as it was in the first place. Same thing. You have to patch the game again and edit the new file.

I suggest either deleting the entire DBO folder after you've uninstalled it and reinstall or try and use the patcher button on the launcher :/

I'll try to see if reinstalling helps. I've repatched like 10 times today.

Reinstalling worked. It lets me edit the files now without crashes.

This section will change the shimmering effect of your gear. Just as with the charge effect just swap out the numbers. For example if you want a +15 effect for a +6 equip then put "15" where it says "6" and vice versa.

You can also disable the shimmering effect by changing vision="1" to vision="0"
