I've seen the occasional thread crop up from time to time about "Which character would win this fight?" so here it is, in one thread for your convienence. Just because this is a Dragon Ball forum doesn't mean any match up has to involve Dragon Ball, and I'd rather not all of them do.

Seeing people debate about power isn't a favorite thing of mine, but there are some serious questions that I'd like to know the answer to, and I don't have the wit to answer them myself.

Seeing as these sorts of things get out of hand rather quickly, please, no bashing, and make answers longer than one word. Also, try to make fair match ups. Give a little bit in the way of conditions for a fight, and make it actually seem plausible. Most of the stuff I throw in here will be strictly for comedic purposes, that much is a given.

I know becuase this is a Dragon Ball forum, people are going to be heavily biased towards anything in the series, but, eh, you know, be fair people.

And please, no Goku Vs Superman. -_-; It's been discussed so many times, it's not even funny. There are too many versions of Superman to count these days, and further more, it would probably just end like this anyway:

So, without further adue, let's start this off. ^_~

You Vs Pikachu

Yes, you, against a Pikachu. You start up Pokemon Yellow and walk into the tall grass. A lv. 5 Pikachu comes out of the tall grass, but Professor Oak doesn't show up and save your butt. Pikachu can use Growl and Thundershock. You have no items since you just started the game. It's a fight to the KO since Pokemon don't die. Who wins?

My vote: There's no way I could stand up to an electric shock. Sticking a fork in an electrical outlet is enough to KO me if it's not a protected one. Plus, I don't use martial arts on harmless woodland creatures.

Death Note Vs Dragon Ball

Not the characters, but rather the objects themselves. Light Yagami has been thrust into the Dragon Ball universe, along with Misa Amane, who has Shinigami eyes. They watch the Cell Games as it broadcasts on TV and get the names and faces of the characters and decide to write them down because they're a threat to his ideal world. He writes all of their names down consecutively. Dende again adjusts the dragon balls so he can bring back people who have died more than once for good measure. The only thing in his way is the last page of the last volume, saying "Once dead, they can never come back to life." But is this still in effect? After all, people don't go to Mu when they die in Dragon Ball. So who's magic is superior, Dende's or the Shinigami's?

My vote: I say this could go either way, but since the above scenario is in the Dragon Ball universe, I say it gets home field advantage and negates the Death Note. In the Death Note universe, where everything is serious business, they'd die and stay dead.

Farmer with a Shotgun Vs Naruto

I'm not much into Naruto these days, so I'm placing the titular ninja at let's say the Chunin Exams. I remember Kishimoto noting that guns weren't in Naruto for a good reason, that being ninjas can't deflect bullets in real life, or Naruto-verse it seems. So, Farmer has his handy-dandy shotgun and the gun has five rounds. Since Naruto's terrible at staying invisible, especially for a ninja, he's out in the open. They're 30 meters away and Naruto is tresspassing on his property. Can Farmer aim his shotgun so that it hits our orange ninja, or can Naruto move fast enough to knock the shotgun out of his hands?

My vote: Farmer with a shotgun actually has a riffle guys. How can I tell? It shoots one projectile. This, I'd say, is a major player in this. Riffles are much better for long range, and they can potentially take out a ninja. That being said, a well-thrown shuriken could potentially knock it out of his hand, and I'd say Naruto's reaction speed is probably better because, well, he's a ninja. But I question whether or not he'd be clever enough to think of that, considering he can't know what a gun is. I'd say it can go either way.

I like your argument for the Deathnote vs DBZ thingy but even in the Deathnote universe where everything is serious can't you still give it to DBZ due to how it may have no heart attack effect on lets see, Piccolo(not sure) and Cell(definitely sure) and I'm pretty sure Light can't think up something to kill Cell through normal means since it probably won't kill him quickly enough before getting a Deathbeam to the chest.
Also here's another one
Dragonball Z Universe(Right before Vegeta and Nappa) VS Bleach Universe (End of series bfore Ichigo loses his power)
I'd like to know your thoughts. P.S. I wouldn't be able to debate on this one due to me being fairly new to Bleach.

I'm pretty new to Bleach as well, BUT there's something I'd figure I'd point out. Bleach fights don't take place using physical bodies, and that right there is an issue. Is ki able to affect a hollow? Can you sense a Bleach Shinigami? And how would the characters get out of their own bodies? If they're using normal every day bodies, it's a curb stomp for Dragon Ball, because they're just normal humans in normal bodies most of the time, but the fact that Bleach doesn't even use phyical bodies makes it very difficult to compare the two. It's like Ghost Busters Vs Mythbusters in that respect.

If we were for the sake of argument to say that the shinigami in Bleach magically have phyiscal bodies, I'd still say I'd say I'd give it to Dragon Ball because, well, even though they seem to have similar levels of speed, I don't think there's anyone in Bleach who's like Piccolo and can level an entiere island after being in an exhausting fight. Correct me if I'm wrong, though, I'm not huge into Bleach.

hmmm i never really do these sorts of discussions, but lets do Code Geass Vs Dragonball or more specifically say i dont know Lelouch in one of his knightmares vs Goku or Vegeta, the knightmare itself would very easily be destroyed fair enough, however if Lelouch realises in time the strength of his opponents, i am without doubt he would use some trick to use his geass on them, however would it work due to them not being human? (Im assuming he will be able to do this due to the lengthy monologues and such in dragonball haha, toying with opponents and such :P).

Geass in the show was described by Prince Schniezel (however its spelt idk) as a strong hypnosis, and since Vegeta has already been under control of Babidi and was shown to be resistant to it by stating his saiyan pride at the time, it may prove ineffective even if it would work at all, even in the Code Geass realm, if it went so deeply against someones own will, it can be broken, so its not as though it cant be done hmmmm i guess dragonball wins it afterall, not my original thought but the process clearly shows, lol how fun was that eh

If the term used for "human" in the Japanese version of Code Geass is "ningen," here's something that may help in your hypothesis:

Saiyans, Namekians, even animal people are considered "human" in some respect in the series. It's a little interesting in a way. I can't offer much more input because literally all I know about it is that it exists and this:
