Cleaned all the dust out of my pc, updated all my drivers, and thanks to Porunga's advice i also reapplied thermalpaste.

Now my PC runs at 30-40c.

Everyone is telling me to get a new computer when Porunga was the only person who actually gave useful information lmao.

Guildwars 2 is less demanding than DBO? lmao

If you want better answers give better information. You did not post any system specs or any other useful information. You simply said my computer is running hot, this is how hot it's running, what do I do?

You didn't say Guild Wars 2, you said Guild Wars. The first guild wars game is from the windows 2000/XP era and optimized for processors of <2Ghz. Again, be more specific in the future.

Then you should've asked for specs before you just go right out and claim my pc is crap and say the only solution is shelling 500 bucks for a new one lmao. This is my first time asking for PC help so I didn't think of showing my PC specs, not like you would've gave a better answer regardless..

Im use to calling gw2 just gw since I've been playing with it for friends for a while and they know I mean GW2 when I only say gw, so thats an accidental habit.

Regardless when people ask help for PC the last thing they want to hear is "get a better one", especially since the problem is usually fixable. It's like if im asking advice on how to fix something in my car and the only answer people give is "buy a new one"

If your computer is recent ( within the past 2yrs) then you may have a faulty fan. I had a similar poblem with a 6mo old PC a few years ago.

Also make sure the PC is situated to where the fan can breath. (basicly a place where the fan can breath).

Like swordsman said, you can buy a decent rig for a lot less than you think.

to build a decent gaming pc the cost would be around 400-500, depending if you include the price for windows, and other things (like a monitor and speakers if the person didnt have one already). and it also depends on a persons idea of decent for a gaming rig.

You said Guild wars, not Guild Wars 2. Also, I'm just trying to help you out. You could build a computer much better for like 100-200$. The reason why everyone is telling you to get a new one is even full of dust, the CPU should never hit anywhere near 90 running DBO. Even overclocking shouldn't make it that hot. I'm glad you worked out your problem but I still recommend building a new pc. (You could even ask people if they could give you old PCs for free and take the parts out of those and build one like twice as better)

Thank you for trying to help, but I found out that my PC was doing inaccurate temp readings. My real temp was always never higher than 45. So there is no point in buying a new pc
