"Agro" is short for "aggression". It affects what enemies attack you when you approach them. By increasing their agro, you can make them attack you if they're neutral, or make them attack you over your allies.

All attacks have a agro rate attached to it some more the others. Also damage dealt is also in the calculation which is where this skill comes into play. Some of your stronger abilites as a SK have little aggro regardless of the amount of damage it does. So when certian dps hit for a massive number you have to counter act the aggro they gain by stacking yours higher. The agro list is a zero sum game meaning the more agro you have the less they do but the numbers never decrease so you have to constantly go higher to keep the mosnter targeting you.

So its a skill you use so that your other skills generate more aggro when you use them. More as in more aggro than they would normally. Since sk is a tank. You want all the agro. So the healer only needs to heal one person. Instead of having to heal everyone.

  • It makes the monsters attack you.
  • It does not affect damage dealt.
  • You can't technically control who they attack, but it makes them target you over your allies.

Like to point out number three specifically. Some attack moves monsters uses specifically hit characters other then the tank intentionally. No amount of aggro will change those specific incidents
