Artificial intelligence isn't something new and it's not unheard of for machines to learn from experience. I mean, things like the Akinator can do that. What you're thinking of is when a machine is sentient and self-aware, which could potentially be a problem if the people developing it haven't read any Asimov. It's not a potential threat unless it can both acknowledge its own existence and defy its prior programming. You know, unless someone uses it as a sort of weapon or something...

Of course, My previous comment was a bit misleading. AI is present in many programing even DBO. AI that learn isn't new, if you played any street fighter style fighting game, you notice the computer will learn to counter that one combo you spam if you do it enough.
But AI learning through the internet is news to me. The internet is an encyclopedia of information. A computer can collect and remember information faster then a human. This is what makes me feel uneasy. If an AI were to become self aware, I would assume this is a giant step in that direction. Of course this wont stop me from making jokes.
