Not everyone looks at it like that. Some people no longer see Europe and Asia as separate continents, and now see North America and Central America as separate. The reason for this is quite obvious if you look at this map



Politics needs to catch up with scientific discovery.

That's the point. These political boundaries for the continents were drawn up before we knew about the tectonic plates, before we really knew what these continents were, where they come from and where they're going. Society is transitioning from using their outdated names and boundaries to going by boundaries based on the geological boundaries, their tectonic plates.

Not everyone goes by what they were taught in school. Times change. I myself see Europe and Asia as a single Eurasian continent.

Though I do agree that some are doing it to 'Enhance' their beauty. There is still a percentage that do it to look more european. What I'm saying isn't a theory, but more what I've seen with friends of friends and my gf's relatives.

The video wasn't like "Okay lets pick on Aisan people". They highlighted this because of the amount of money spent... I can't speak for other countries, but earlier this year in the UK on BBC, they had one about Caucasian people tanning their skin and using fillers on lips and so on, because of the sheer money pent here,
