Well written article, i have read the article100s of times and yet it still remain the same. It has good suggestions and conclusions but it doesnt have valid facts that Time Patrol Trunks is different from Future trunks :)..

Well I guess its no use in continuing this thread.. its obvious we don't if Time Patrol Trunks is different from Future Trunks nor if their the same.. sigh.. it will remain a mystery until other wise... however I did learn something new though :), suggestions and theories are no different from facts in these days and times. I hate to see the dictionary 5 yrs from now... but thanks guys for all your answers to the best of ability, looks like this thread should wait until we get more info on Time Patrol Trunks..

You can't be serious.. It clearly states that he's from different timeline. In Future Trunks' timeline there is no Piccolo nor Dende. And this Trunks was told by Piccolo about Mira so yeah, how can it be Future Trunks? Because he uses Burning attack? He even has a different sword than Future Trunks.

On the other hand you asked US, the community what we think, why the hell do you argue with us? You asked us, we answered, don't go against our word dude, that's so rude.

Its not a fact, it "suggest"/"conclusion" that he's different. Wiki is a fan base website, we all write the articles based on our observations from the dragon ball franchise. Dragon ball wiki is indeed a reliable source for all fans. But some fans misinterprete information for facts.


Correct there is no piccolo but Dende on the other do exist in Future Trunks timeline on new namek. Remember before trunks was born Dende and the other nameks where transported to another planet known as new namek. This happen after Frieza saga and before Trunks came to the past to warned the z fighters about the androids. So you see Dende exist in Future Trunks timeline because him and the other nameks where to sent to another planet before Trunks was born in both timelines.


That is indeed a mystery and I'm not disputing that. But that doesn't make it "Fact" that he is different from Future Trunks. However it is a "suggestion" or a "conclusion" that he is different because piccolo seems to be present in this Trunks timeline but not a "fact". We don't know it is not enough information. There could numerous of other information that may explain piccolo's presence.

I was saying that you guys have good "suggestions" and "theories" but it doesn't make it fact that Time Patrol Trunks is different from Future Trunks.. you see I have read the Dragon Ball wiki page on Time Patrol Trunks plenty of times already. The page has the same conclusions you guys have about Time Patrol Trunks. However they are "CONCLUSIONS" which means that he may be different from Future Trunks..

I say to you and all other fans, sure there is a possibility that he may be different and there is a possibility that he maybe the same. But we don't know for sure. We don't have enough info yet. Piccolo being in the presence of Time Patrol Trunks does not make it a "fact" that he is different from Future Trunks. That is vague, there could be alot of other information and possibilities explaining piccolo's presence.

I understand that you like Future Trunks a lot. But only Goku knew where new Namek is and Goku is dead in Future Trunks' timeline. And why would Dende even go on Earth to warn Trunks? Dende didn't even know about it since it was Piccolo who warned him. + This Trunks got his ass kicked by Mira and seeing how "we" beat him and make him run away and Future Trunks is stronger than any of "us" he would kick Mira's ass easily. It would suck if it was same Trunks over and over. But then again, how many timelines are there? It's either some third Trunks or just a descendant from our beloved normal Trunks. :P

Well I see point that would be disappointing lol.. but I use to think that he was a descent of normal trunks because I thought he was from age 1000, but then its says that Time Patrol Trunks is from the past.. you see age 1000 is the present timeline in which your character is from, age 2000 is the future beyond age 1000. In age 2000 Miira successfully takes over earth. But he wanted more power so he travel to the past to obtain Goku's DNA, somewhere in the past timelines Dende discovered Miira and enlist Trunks to stop him, this is how Trunks became Time Patrol Trunks; Trunks then follow Miira back to the future (age 1000) to stop Miira reign in age 2000. So Time Patrol Trunks is actually from the past... I been thinking alot and I came up with a conclusion, maybe Time Patrol Trunks is not the exact Future Trunks we know of from cell arc. Maybe he's a different future trunks, like a alternative future trunks.. but then again that still says that he's "a" future trunks and one and the same.. hmm Gohan and the other z fighter are probably dead in Time Patrol Trunks that's probably why Dende enlisted Trunks to stop Miira. Do they have a TMQ for the android saga?

Dude, that info is taken from lore from the game itself. It's not theories or "suggestions" as you're calling them, it's facts canon to the game because that's how the writers of the game wrote it. Piccolo is alive in Time Patrol Trunks' time, he's the one that warned Trunks about Mira, not Dende.

Nobody cares how much you like Trunks and want them to be the same Trunks, they are not. Get over your denial. This thread should never have reached 5 pages, let alone 10.

I'm suppose to be slow in the head? Some of the people in thread believe that Time Patrol Trunks was Teen Future Trunks because of his hair and his unshown super saiyan ability. But this conclusion can be easily analysed.. you see if he was in fact if he was teen future trunks, where the hell is Gohan? And teen trunks is smaller and weaker...

It was purposely left a mystery about the origins of Time Patrol Trunks so fans may debate about it - Like you guys.

I'd have to say well done on Akira Toriyama & Bandai's part seeing as they succeeded. They have you guys jumping through loops to figure it out.

The Dragon Ball series is notoriously hard to debate on certain subjects like time travel


There is no clear way to figure out the origins of Time Patrol Trunks, and debating about it won't make a difference - We have to wait until there is official word or a quest in game that reveals his roots.

My opinion is that Time Patrol Trunks is most DEFINITELY a different Trunks all together.

Think about it - Future Trunks explains that things you do in the past only effect that timeline and not others, which ultimately leaves you with different dimensions of some-sort.

Future trunks was a different Trunks than the Current Timeline Trunks - Same person, just different dimension.

You guys are looking at as time - but it's more so alternate realities considering the minute you change something in a timeline it splits off into it's own alternate world.

Future Trunks came from his timeline to the manga's canon timeline. Helping them did not make HIS timeline any different.

At this point we know of 2 Trunks - Baby(Current) Trunks, and Future Trunks.

Cell comes from an even further future than Future Trunks - Which he says he killed "That" Trunks in-order to steal his time machine.

BUT WAIT THERE'S A SECOND FUTURE TRUNKS?
Yes, and Cell says that the Trunks he killed was in the process of going back in time to tell everyone that he had defeated the androids.

Now off the back you can tell that the Trunks cell killed was a even further Future Trunks who was the future version of Future Trunks(IE He killed Freeza and King Kold, Helped everyone, Ect.).


So now look at how many ****ing Cells we had.

Present Cell(Larva)
Future Cell(Cell who wreaks havoc in the manga/anime)
Future Trunks' Cell(The Cell he killed when he went back to his timeline)

That's 3 cells, and 3 different trunks.

Time Patrol Trunks is OBVIOUSLY some form of Trunks that we have not personally met or seen in the manga just like the Trunks that was killed in Cell's time line.


It's entirely possible that Time Patrol Trunks' stemmed from one of these warped alternate time-lines where certain events that we know of happened - But with how ****ty Akira Toriyama is at explaining(or caring) about stuff like this it's practically impossible to tell of Time Patrol Trunks' origins.
