You don't have to download that program for it work, dude. Just do a regular uninstall, delete the DBO folder, restart. Then install, patch it (can do it manually I guess, made zero difference in my situation), then install the English UI update, by changing the Lang0 file, and so forth.

Btw, when you say crash, does it give you a message like "Disc Drive Emtpy", or something? Cause I heard that was just a marketing scheme, not too sure though. |

Oh i fixed it now, I can play, but everything is in Taiwanese. I'm afraid that if I do the english patch it would crash for me again. By crash I mean it loads me in, then crashes and gives me a box with all these question marks. But I fixed it by uninstalling and re-installing. |

If you still see squares change your language.. You have to go to Control panel, Region and Language, Administrative, then find the Chinese (taiwaneese) language, restart laptop then  Hope I helped. |

guys in the guide it says download the patch and install but i cant install it only put it in that folder cause its RTP am i right or the link its not right ?

After I put the english patch in I get a visual C error, what am I doing wrong?
This is getting very frustrating.

for the lang0 file error.have u guys tried righ-clicking on it and disable the read-only option?it worked fine for me everytime ive installed the game:).there are some notes when u download the english patch.read those if u have problems with the patch

"Cannot open output file" error:
If you get this error, right click on the "lang0.pak" file in the "pack" folder, and select "Properties". In the properties window, uncheck the "Read Only" checkbox, and hit apply.
Patch says it completed, but the game is still in it's original language:
If this happens to you, check that you installed the patch into the correct folder. Often, Taiwanese users mistakenly place the files into the "\pack" folder and not the "\localize\TAIWAN\pack" folder. If you're sure the files are in the correct folder, make sure you're also running the game in administrator mode.
Game displays a C++ error message on start-up:
This error is uncommon and could have a number of different causes. First, uninstall the patch using the information above. After that, make sure you have the latest version of the patch and check the forums. If the problem is wide-spread, it may mean a recent update to the game broke the patch, and that a new version is needed. If that's the case then you'll just have to do without it until a new version is released. If you appear to be the only one experiencing the problem, make sure your game runs correctly without the patch; and if it doesn't, re-install the game.
