I don't see a cape, just a red recoloring on the texture. I'm talking about .DFF 3D model files found in obj#.pak, not the .dds (Direct Draw Surface) texture files.
You can't add a cape by editing the texture, you need to modify the 3D model as well as make a new texture for the cape.

Oh, yea i just glanced at .DFF and i thought of DDS :D. There is a way to do it though, you would have to find the mesh of the armor and make a new mesh that looks just like it, except with a cape and then put it back into the .pak that has the mesh in it. (Not really sure if it will work, but it sounds good)
There is 2 main problems with this though.
1. No one has done this yet, and most of us are too lazy to take the extraordinary amount of time to make a mesh and try to inject it back in. The people who are asking for things like this can't usually do it, it would have to be done by really good modders on this site but most of us just don't have the time to try to figure it all out.
2. Lots of armors look the same on this game except with different colors. The reason why, is because it uses the same mesh. If you add a cape to the armor, you will have tons of armors that have a cape on it.
So i would say the effort outways the benefits so just stick with making a cape on the texture like i did.
