Indeed.
Of course this would be fanfiction, but as long as you don't tamper with what is already set in stone then fanfiction is alright. :P

For the most part, casting an attack with mana instead of ki looks like charging the ki version of the energy attack, with the addition of a magic circle appearing under the caster and under the energy orb being charged.

I can imagine the Kamehameha Wave looking similar to this when being launched; (at 00:34)

Er...perhaps it would be better not to include magic circles?

And another question has popped into my mind that I remembered Kisya brought up with me involving SSJ3: how does Triple 6 LEARN how to use mana, and how skilled is she at it? I'm guessing she's young and thus inexperienced, so having her learn mana out of thin air seems a little...Suey.

Not really.
Ki is the physical force, but in most media there is also the mental force, Mana.
While Mana isn't mentioned in Dragon Ball, I'm sure Bibidi, Babadi and Baba all use Mana.

It's not called "mana" in the series, and I personally find mana to be a bit of an... overused term. It's probably just a sort of variation on ki as opposed to a different force

Er...perhaps it would be better not to include magic circles?

Yeah, that doesn't quite... fit with Dragon Ball if you ask me.

Heh... well alright :P
I'll figure out what form it takes and stuff.

As for how skilled, she's a novice, but when she first learned how to use it it was pure chance.
If we use the current backstory, she was taught how to fire Ki blasts but was unable to fire any, but during her rampage she was able to fire something when trying to fire Ki blasts, this turned out to be the basic magic missile.
The reworked backstory will be different :3

Er...I think she needs a better explanation than by "pure chance." A lot of people are going to consider that a lazy attempt at adding a power.

Well in the old backstory, being tortured and forced into producing a Ki blast for 5 years allowed her "mana" to surface and in a blind rage she just acted on instinct and the training she had been given and fired a basic Magic Arrow/Missile, which is the most basic form of releasing a spell and doesn't require a chant to produce.

Kinda like how Gohan was unable to transform even though he knew how. His dormant powers surfaced every day he trained until he was able to push it up and successfully transform, this character was able to finally push out an attack after being pushed over the edge.

If I'm pleased with the new back story, on suggestion of another member of the forums, she would have been taught how to cast by those who already know how.
:P
