As Dumke_480 said, your best bet is to play in windowed mode. I play the game in that mode and it is a lifesaver because I hate the in-game music and want to play my own music. It can find window mode in the options in-game. You may need to restart the game for it apply.

If you don't click on the game while it's loading and you stay on the window bar then it will not screen lock it to DBO and you can freely press the window button to go to your browser/music.
