Watched this awhile ago.

Well, it certainly was better for me than the DB movie >_>

Well, I still had fun with DB movie, because I watched it with open mind, since from the trailers, I knew it wouldn't be true to the story, as Goku wasn't really going to school and stuff like that, and effects were really bad, even though they could make them much better, based on what I've seen in other movies at that time.

However, someone said they would never be able to make a decent DBZ movie and I can just say, don't make me laugh. If they put more money into it, they could make such a good DBZ movie, it would blew you away. Just look at transformers (the transformation of robots, movement and such, not the story, of course), then there's "Jumper" (Great effects for instant transmission in there, and moving really fast), action in "Push" (movie), some effects in "I am number 4"...and so on. If they had money to pay the people who can make stuff like that, they could combine all these different techniques and make a great DBZ movie.

Dragonball evolution had a low budget, that's a fact. Especially for a type of movie that it is, that needed really good special effects, costumes...and so on. Anyone would lack will if they aren't payed well to do something.

As for the fan movies, they are made with much more love, and without any deadlines or anything, and they're not making 2 hours long movies, but short scenes. Its completely different. One scene doesn't require money, especially if it's done in one place. While the professional movies are recorded in many different places, the whole set needs to be moved, sometimes they even have to travel into different parts of the world to record, a lot of actors need to be payed, crew members and million other things, and if they have low budget for it, it's hard to make a good movie. That's my opinion, at least. Of course, in DB, they didn't stay true to the story, so that screwed it up, but they also lacked money, I am sure of it.
