yeah i had the same issue as well. for avg the only thing i can say that i been doing since im too lazy to find a permanent fix is just going into AVG and disabling it for 5-10 mins while i get DBO started and it works fine. i mean it is kind of annoying to have to do this everytime i wanna play DBO but still i dont mind if doing it if im going to be playing for hours and AVG is disabled for a couple of minutes.

I Solved the problem... Probably your virus protection program(AVG was my problem) block's dbo.exe.
What you have to do: uninstalled DBO--> uninstal AVG--> instal new virus protection program(Mcafee works great)--> Reinstall the game and it should work. I can play now :)

I have the same thing going on did every thing only now after the 3rd re install i dont even get to the launcher now i just get the error as to before it would load the same patch every time i open and the fail after the start button comes up AND IT'S NOT SERVER MAINTENANCE ugh so frustrating lol
