I used to be able to play DBO and open IE without a problem, and I could open IE before launching DBO without a problem.
Starting earlier today I got on DBO and a few seconds after my character appeared into the world IE said it stopped responding and it closed. I tried to reopen it, but it immidiately repeated the not responding and closing. I tried using firefox and the same thing happens.
I have the same problem. For the longest time I could run both Firefox and DBO, but then one day Firefox would crash and then not open whenever I was playing the game. The browser is fine when I just have the DBO Launcher open, but when the actual game kicks in it crashes. Ever since then I just close the browser every time I play. No idea why it happens.
Open up task manager and close any non-essential processes until you find out what's causing it (probably a program that somehow interacts with your browsers). I used to have this same problem which was caused by FLVSrvc.exe, but it might not be the same process for you.
